Meet the Owner

Sophie is a PhD student at Queen’s University, Belfast. Having combined her love of history with her love of figure skating throughout her studies, her PhD thesis is entitled “Stars in Little Girls’ Eyes”: An Intersectional History of US Women’s Figure Skating.

Despite only being 25, Sophie believes that figure skating in the 20th century is just as relevant as ever, and by combining her passions in this blog she hopes to inspire others to appreciate skating from all decades.
